The District of Taylor is a small town in northeastern British Columbia, Canada, located on mile 36 of the Alaska Highway. Taylor, a member municipality of the Peace River Regional District, covers an area of about 17 km² with 1,380 residents. It is situated along the Peace River, 56 km north of Dawson Creek and 18 km south of Fort St John, and there is a considerable amount of commuting and interaction between the two communities.

Referred to as the place "Where Peace and Prosperity Meet", Taylor is the fastest growing community in the Peace River Region. It is a community that values and nurtures personal endeavour, affordable living and unrivalled amenities for the whole family to enjoy. With some of the most affordable tax rates and land costs in the Peace Region, Taylor is an ideal location for the development of residential housing, commercial ventures and industry.

Taylor has a very large industrial tax base and is a proud home to Spectra Energy, Canfor Taylor Pulp, Alta Gas Extraction Transmission, Taylor Dunnage & Lath, Nels Ostero Limited, Glen Fox Sand & Gravel and DGS Astro Paving. Industrial plants include the Spectra’s McMahon plant for natural gas processing with sulphur recovery and cogeneration, Alta Gas’ straddle plant which extracts ethane and other commodities from liquid natural gas, Canfor’s chemi-thermomechanical pulp mill, and Taylor Dunnage and Lath’s value added saw mill. Gravel extraction operations include asphalt production by DGS Astro as well as sand and gravel supply by Glen Fox and Nels Ostero.
